We built a steel workshop for Radds Transport in Richards Bay for vehicle fleet safety and plant hire. In line with the company’s motto, “Driving Progress”, Span Africa steel was chosen as build materials due to its sustainability and eco-friendlier properties as eteel releases no harsh chemicals or toxins.
The workshop, measuring, 20m x 30m x 7.5m was constructed from 0.5mm IBR Colorplus sheeting in Thunderstorm Grey with a roof pitch of 12 degrees. Colorplus can endure the harsh African climate with optimal colour-coating performance.
We applied a single coat of QD Enamel for added material protection and used Ampa sheets for side cladding to allow for natural light, ultimately reducing electricity costs.
