Since 1992, we have focused on four key elements in our business – the design process, our manufacturing systems, the installation and project management of our structures. We believe that how we manage these four aspects is what makes us different and has ensured our continued growth. Lead by a team of enthusiastic and experienced Project Managers, SpanAfrica has become a force to be reckoned with, both in Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, with over 3500 successfully completed projects in the agricultural, industrial/ commercial, churches and schools sectors.
SpanAfrica is an equal opportunities employer, and has an ongoing training process in pace to allow its employees to improve themselves and take up better opportunities. The management and staff have over 120 years of collective experience in the structural steel industry.
SpanAfrica Steel Structures plays an active role in supporting local community projects and fundraising events. We are very aware of the vital contribution that corporate business makes to our economy, and our staff and management are encouraged to look for opportunities for involvement.
Through the sponsorship of golf days, assisting with buildings at local creches, the donation of sports facilities to rural schools, and providing manpower at events such as the Joberg2C race together with the Endangered Wildlife Fund and support of the wattled cranes project, SpanAfrica and our staff engage willingly in social responsibility programs.
Meet the team
We have one of the most experienced teams in the field and their knowledge of the agricultural, commercial, industrial, school and church environments is extensive. Not only have they been responsible for the successful completion of over 10,000 steel structures but their knowledge of diverse conditions and elements has enabled us to add real value during the design, fabrication and installation phases. Clients often come back to us for further advice once the steel structures have received some fairly hardy wear and tear and we enjoy working alongside them to maximize the building’s effectiveness. You can read a little about the key players below but do also click on their projects to see a fuller representation of some of the projects they’ve been instrumental in securing for us.View our organogram >
