We built and installed a new steel roof for Maseko Trust’s upmarket, 600m² Conference Centre located in the heart of Zululand, just past Jozini.
Span Africa steel was chosen to handle the roofing due to the quick turnaround time of our builds, and the quality of our steel’s finish, which lend greatly to the beautiful design of the building itself.
The 0.5mm IBR ColorPlus sheeting in thunderstorm grey provides the benefits of being simultaneously more durable and more recyclable than any other roof sheeting on the market. The roof has a 17-degree pitch that allows for a steady fall of rain in the event that they wish to harvest any water for reuse later.
The Alucushion® insulation is both waterproof and fireproof, ensuring heat stabilisation in a temperature range from -20C° to 80°C. Finished with one coat of QD enamel, the insulator has been tested by Firelab and does not cause fire to spread when used as an over-purlin type roof insulation material.
Overall the project was completed successfully and the client was extremely satisfied.
