SpanAfrica pulled out all the stops for the design, build and installation of a Cashbuild hardware store in Pongola – which belongs to one of the largest retailer Groups of building materials and associated products.

The steel structure measures 30 x 40m  x 6.92m, made from 0.58mm Chromadek roof sheeting. It is impressively strong due to the many curves shaping its profile to ensure maximal rigidity and an excellent cover width. Ampa sheets were used as side cladding to allow for natural light to fill the space. The bullnose roof pitch is 10 degrees and has a steel finish of white QD Enamel.

There was no need for insulation, however, ridge vents were installed across the length of the ridge. The project was completed on schedule and within budget, which was greatly appreciated by the client.
